The RYA Stage 1 Windsurfing course is a fantastic introduction to windsurfing for kids - the RYA describe it as "All fun, no theory. Get on the water and discover windsurfing" - this embodies the course perfectly. The aim of the game is to get your kids loving a new sport and feel the thrill and satisfaction of windsurfing.
On the course, students will learn the basics of windsurfing, how to control the board and how to steer - with the aim being that at the end of the course students can sail to a chosen point on the water and return to their starting point afterwards. The course is mostly practical, with almost no theory - we want everyone to fall in love with the sport!
Our course is structured over four days, including supervision over lunch - we feel this gives us enough time to allow your kids to truly fall in love with the sport and have enough time on the water.
We provide all safety equipment, and can provide wetsuits if needed. Your students will need appropriate secure footwear (trainers that you're happy to get wet or wetsuit shoes/boots) and plenty of water, suncream and lunch!
